Mackenzie Cover

Attorney

Memphis, Nashville

Mackenzie Cover, Esq. is an associate personal injury attorney at Steinger, Greene & Feiner’s Nashville, TN office. She focuses her legal practice on helping victims of auto accidents, slip and falls, workers’ compensation, and other personal injury cases.

Attorney Cover brings compassion and empathy, first and foremost. “Suffering injuries and trauma through no fault of their own brings immense stress and fear to our clients,” Cover says. She seeks to put herself in her client’s shoes and understand their specific concerns as an initial step in her advocacy.

Attorney Cover is fearless in tackling challenging cases. One of her proudest moments to date was during a ligation trial in Davidson County. The initial offer from the insurance company was a meager $20,000. Through immense work and effort, opposing counsel offered $100,000 policy limits before closing arguments. In another instance, she won $100,000 for a dog bite case where the insurance company and dog owner denied liability. The insurance company initially offered $5,000 to her client in hopes of making the issue disappear. Instead, attorney Cover relentlessly conducted a further investigation of family members, the dog owner, and a former groomer for the dog in question, which led to the larger settlement.

Before joining Steinger, Greene & Feiner, Mackenzie has always been a plaintiff’s lawyer, seeking justice for “the little guy.” She loves helping her clients access the justice they wouldn’t usually receive. “Insurance companies take advantage of injured people who don’t have an advocate throughout the claims and litigation process. It is an honor to act as that advocate for them.”

Mackenzie is passionate about striving towards better opportunities being available for all people, regardless of their personal background. Originally from Knoxville, TN, her father was a shrimp fisherman and ran a homeless shelter, and her mother worked at the church she grew up at. Their constant desire to help people and place others before themselves led her to want a career focused on helping the “little guy.”

Mackenzie loves exploring local Nashville restaurants and coffee shops when she’s not working. You may find her nose-deep in a book or hanging out with her dog, Maisel. Also, during the pandemic, she picked up a planting hobby. She is known for constantly giving new plants out to friends and family.
