Sam Levine is an attorney at the Fort Lauderdale office of Steinger, Greene & Feiner. When he graduated from the Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law in 2015, he began working at a first party property law firm in North Miami Beach. There, he represented homeowners, business owners, and mitigation companies against insurance companies.
Growing up in a family that is Cuban and Eastern European in Miami Beach, Sam is fluent in both Spanish and English. He truly understands the issues his clients face, and because he is bilingual, he can help Spanish-speaking clients who are often under-served in first party property law.
During his first two summers in law school, Sam interned for the Miami Dade Public Defender Office, representing indigent clients who were charged with felonies. During his last year in law school, Sam clerked at a private civil firm in Aventura, assisting in bankruptcy, probate, and family law cases.
Sam is Steinger, Greene & Feiner’s first, first-party property attorney. As such, he is responsible for the firm’s first-party property department. He brings his experience working with these types of claims and lawsuits, having helped hundreds of clients collect millions of dollars, as well as what he describes as his “loud, sarcastic, and friendly personality.”
In the last four years, Sam has come to learn that property insurance companies simply don’t do right by their clients. They find all sorts of reasons in their insurance policies to either deny coverage or pay just a small portion of what the insured really needs. Sam is passionate about standing up to these big insurance companies, giving property owners a voice, and ultimately getting his clients the money they deserved in the first place.
Nothing motivates Sam more than the real-life situations his clients face by living in damaged or destroyed homes that these big insurance companies turn their backs on. He represents real people – families, business owners, landlords – who pay their insurance premiums year after year in exchange for the insurance company’s promise to help out when their property gets damaged. And when it comes time to make good on that promise, the insurance company finds a reason to back out. Sam gets tremendous satisfaction in getting his clients the help they deserve so that they can fix their property and move on with their lives.
Personally, Sam is passionate about family. He loves being with his family, no matter the occasion. Sam is the oldest of three brothers and is married to an amazing wife. Together, they have a dog, Bacco. He is also a self-described nerd, with a passion for technology and gadgets. Before law school, he built computers and designed websites.
