Anthony J. Visone joined Steinger, Greene & Feiner in February of 2006 after relocating to Port St. Lucie, Florida from New York City. He has more than 20 years of experience in personal injury law. He passed the Florida Bar in July of 2006, his third state Bar, and he is currently admitted to practice in Florida, New York, and Utah.
Anthony relocated to Florida after practicing personal injury law in New York for over 12 years. Since becoming a member of Steinger, Greene & Feiner, Anthony has been involved in the litigation of several multi-million dollar leg amputation cases and is currently working on new ways to help amputees with their legal needs.
Anthony was born and raised in Queens, New York. He graduated from New York University with a B.S. in Marketing, after studying a semester abroad in Tokyo, Japan. He then went to St. John’s University School of Law where he earned his J.D. Degree, working full time as a marketing associate for a text book publishing company while going to law school at night.
While in law school, Anthony worked as a law clerk for a plaintiff’s personal injury solo practitioner and then went on to intern for the New York State Power Authority where he was involved in complex environmental law litigation. After graduating from law school, Anthony returned to personal injury law and began his career as a defense attorney working for in-house counsel to AIG Insurance. He later returned to plaintiff’s personal injury practice working for the same solo practitioner that gave him his start as a law clerk, and he continued to do so for the next 11 years.
Anthony is a graduate of Class II of the William Reece Smith, Jr. Leadership Academy of the Florida Bar and has recently been appointed to the Leadership Academy Committee in April 2015 by Florida Bar President-Elect, Ramon “Ray” Abadin. He also just completed his third year as President of the Port St. Lucie Bar Association and will continue to be actively involved in his local voluntary bar association’s events and community activities.
He is also a member of the 19th Circuit Professionalism Panel as well as the Judicial Liaison Committee for the Annual 19th Circuit Bench Bar Conference. He was also appointed this year to a three-year term on the 19th Circuit Grievance Committee “A.”
He has been actively involved in promoting pro bono efforts among attorneys in Port St. Lucie and has assisted Florida Rural Legal Services in helping coordinate local “Ask a Lawyer” events to help ensure equal access to justice for the less fortunate. He has been the recipient of the Nineteenth Circuit Pro Bono Publico Award in 2013, 2014 and 2015 for significant contributions as President of the Port St. Lucie Bar Association in expanding equal access to justice for residents of St. Lucie County.
