Tragic Car Accident Changes the Lives of 5 Teens in Orlando

Orlando, Fla. – A car accident near the intersection of John Young Parkway and CR Smith Street on Saturday, January 9, has claimed the lives of 2 young men and injured another 3.

The crash took place around 10:30 p.m. when the vehicle carrying all 5 teenagers veered off the road and collided with an oak tree.

The 17-year-old boy and 19-year-old man were killed as a result of injuries received in the car accident and were pronounced dead by the first officer on the scene.

According to a spokesperson for the Orlando Police Department, the three other passengers were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

Investigators say that the 17-year-old boy was driving the car at high speeds south on South John Young Parkway. He was seen frequently changing lanes.

It was during a lane change, that the driver lost control of the car which then veered off the road and collided with the tree.

Police are still investigating the incident.

Though there are no other details on the accident yet, our heart and condolences go out to the families of both young boys who were killed in the accident.,
