Amazon Semi-Truck Involved in Fatal Crash in South Bay, FL.

South Bay, Fla. – Officials in South Bay Florida have confirmed that an Amazon semi-truck was involved in a fatal truck accident on the morning of Wednesday, Nov 11, 2020.

The accident involved the large Amazon semi-truck and a red car on the US 27 from Main Street in South Bay. Officials are asking the public to use alternate routes and avoid the road which has been totally shut down and will remain closed for several hours.

 

 

No other details have been released and officials, including Amazon, have yet to comment on the accident.

This is the latest of many Amazon truck accident in Florida this year. The first was a bizarre incident that took place in Marin County on January 15 when an Amazon truck caught fire on the southbound lanes of I95.

 


Delivery trucks are, of course, operated by skilled drivers who have to pass the rigorous commercial driver’s license test (CDL) but auto accidents happen all the time. No one, no matter how safely they drive, is immune to an accident from time to time.
