2 Teens Die in Immokalee Car Accident

Two teenagers from Collier County, Florida, died early Monday morning in a two-car accident on Westclox Street in Immokalee. A 22-year-old woman was also seriously injured in the crash, says the Florida Highway Patrol.

A 17-year-old male in a 2004 Hyundai Elantra was headed westbound around a curve on Westclox when he attempted to pass a 2010 Dodge Charger—driven by a 22-year-old female who had a 17-year-old female passenger with her. The man’s car hit the left side of the Charger and lost control, overturning twice before crashing into a utility pole and then a mobile home, ejecting him from the vehicle.

The woman’s car also overturned in the crash, struck a barbed wire fence, and overturned again, ejecting both the driver and her passenger, who died. The driver of the Charger was transported to Naples Community Hospital with injuries.

None of the three involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts.
