Two yachts were engulfed in flames in Fort Lauderdale on January 18, 2015. Involved were a 50-foot boat and a 65-foot boat. The fire was contained to the two watercraft, resulting in no damage to surrounding boats.
According to firefighters, no persons were injured in the fire.
Details are few, but first responders used foam to contain the large fire successfully.
Although the fire will undoubtedly result in the loss of thousands of dollars of property, no persons were injured. The incident does remind us, however, of the importance of emergency preparedness when it comes to watercraft.
