PORT ST. LUCIE, FLA – Two men were arrested last week on charges of child pornography.
According to reports, search warrants were obtained for the men’s home located on Southwest Dalton Circle. The warrants were the result of information being given to the police by a cloud storage service provider in July. The provider had flagged an account as possible child pornography. In fact, the account did contain close to 4,000 images of child porn.
The account belongs to Graydon Andrew Knapp, according to a report from St. Lucie County Sheriff’s office. Police also report that the seizure was the largest in the county.
After the search was concluded, Knapp, 61, was arrested and charged with 21 counts each of distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography. He is being held in St. Lucie County Jail on a $420,000 bond.
Also charged in the incident was Richard Kennedy Murphy, 67. It is alleged that Murphy downloaded and printed images from the Internet. He then stored those images in a briefcase. Murphy has been charged with 20 counts of possession of child pornography. He is being held in the same jail on a $200,000 bond.
Child pornography is a serious crime and is not one that is taken lightly in Florida or elsewhere. Both of these men will be forced to answer for their crimes in a court of law. Should they be found guilty, they both face decades in prison.
