In Orange County, Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) troopers are investigating a crash that killed a firefighter and tied up traffic for hours, reports Click Orlando.
Troopers said that a 16-year-old female was driving east on Colonial Drive on Saturday night and was attempting to turn onto Chuluota Road.
She turned into the path of two oncoming Harley Davidson motorcycles that were headed west on Colonial Drive, FHP troopers stated.
They said that the driver of one of the Harley Davidson motorcycles, a 54-year-old man, crashed into the car.
An Orlando firefighter, he was pronounced dead at the scene, and his passenger, a 53-year-old woman, was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
The second Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driven by a 52-year-old man, tried to avoid the crash and dropped his bike in the roadway.
He was also taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with injuries, troopers reported.
FHP troopers said that the teenager was not injured in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation, and charges are pending.
