A man whose body part was cut off in an industrial accident is asking for Florida worker’s compensation from his former employer, according to orlandosentinel.com.
The man was injured while working with a machine with a steel blade that is used to cut blocks of carpeting foam. He was not trained on the machine and is wanting Florida workers’ compensation for the dismemberment.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration is imposing fines of more than $40,000 to the man’s former employer and has found 10 serious violations after the incident which has resulted in the Florida workers’ compensation lawsuit.
