In what is the third incident of road rage on Interstate 95 this year, a young man was stabbed multiple times and lost his life. The attack occurred after a minor accident.
According to reports, police were alerted to a fight on the side of the highway. Several men were seen scuffling on the shoulder of the southbound lane following an accident. Two vehicles were originally involved and three men decided to take matters into their own hands.
Police say that the driver of one of the vehicles displayed a firearm, but there was no indication that shots were fired. Two brothers, also involved in the crash, fought with the man. One of the brothers stabbed the man, causing fatal injuries. Police conducted an investigation, questioning the brothers, and have not filed charges as of yet. It is unclear whether any will be filed, as it seems they were acting in self defense.
In May, a young man was shot in his vehicle when another pulled up and a passenger fired upon the man’s car. His injuries were not life threatening. In February, a similar incident occurred in which an SUV pulled alongside a man and fired shots into his vehicle. That man passed away from his injuries.
