Roger Stone has been an advisor to President Donald Trump for quite a while. Last week, Stone was the victim of a hit-and-run while riding in Pompano Beach. Stone told a news reporter that the vehicle came at his car with “full force,” put their car in reverse after striking his vehicle and left the scene of the accident.
Stone was traveling to Orlando to promote a book he has written about Trump. He wasn’t immediately aware of what type of car hit him, but he was advised that it was a Pontiac. He said that his car was T-boned out of nowhere. Stone was a passenger in the vehicle. Airbags deployed on the passenger side, reducing the man’s injuries. He did tell reporters that his vision was affected and that he sustained bruises.
Interestingly, the responding officer did not note that Stone was a passenger in the vehicle. Stone says that this is because he left the scene after it was clear that response was not a priority. The first officer did not arrive on the scene for approximately 70 minutes.
The driver of Stone’s vehicle said that he believes the other driver struck them intentionally. This led Stone to cal the incident an attempt on his life, noting that it was the second in six months. Stone did say that it could be the Russian’s who want him dead, but that it could also be a group that wants it to look like the Russians.
There is currently no proof that the accident was caused on purpose.
