A man has lost his life as a result of a car accident in West Palm Beach. The 23-year-old man, Eric R. Tarney, was pronounced dead on the scene of the multi-vehicle accident that occurred late Friday night. Another man was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
According to reports of the accident that occurred just before 10:00 p.m., Kevin D. Brown was traveling at a high rate of speed. He was driving a 2010 Nissan down Military Trail near Community Drive. Tarney was driving southbound in a 2010 Volkswagen and turned left into the northbound lanes. It was then that Brown’s car hit Tarney’s.
Authorities, upon original report of the accident, did not indicate how many vehicles were involved in the crash. The number of people was also not known, and the extent of the injuries to victims was information that was not released. Officers did later report that Tarney was pronounced dead on the scene. Whether or not Brown will be charged with any crime for the accident was not immediately known.
Officials urge drivers in West Palm Beach to obey the rules of the road.
