A motorcyclist suffered injuries in an accident late in January. The crash occurred on Interstate 595 in Davie. A woman riding on one of the motorcycles involved in the collision lost her life.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, two people were riding a Honda CBR 600 eastbound on I-595. The pair collided with another motorcycle in the late morning hours. The accident happened near Nob Hill Road.
Officials say that the driver of the motorcycle failed to slow his bike as he approached another motorcycle. The two bikes collided and the driver of the first bike sustained injuries. His female passenger also suffered injuries which she later died from at Broward Health Medical Center.
The driver of the second motorcycle was not injured in the crash. Authorities say that all people involved were wearing helmets at the time of the accident and alcohol or drugs were not a factor.
