LLS marathon runner Todd Goodhue update
Friends and Family:
I just wanted to take a second to update everyone who has supported me over the last 5 months.
First, thank you for supporting me while I was training and raising money for the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Disney Marathon. I’ve learned a lot about myself and how hard you can really push yourself if you set your mind to it. I’m in the best shape of my live and never saw myself running 30+ miles a week. I’m very proud to say that with your donations I was able to raise $5,400 for the LLs. When I signed up $2,500 was the original goal and I was nervous about my ability to raise the funds. I did a few raffles, hustled donations and got a corporate sponsorship to help my efforts.
Unfortunately I am sad to say that only one week away from the Disney marathon I’ve come down with a cold which led to bronchitis. As much as it hurts to admit it, I think this is a huge set back and I will most likely not be running in the marathon next week. With that said I will be entering myself into the A1A marathon in February along the Ft. Lauderdale strip of A1A. By then I hope to be 100% again.
Even though this year Disney will not happen for me I was still blessed with the experience of training for the marathon and raising much needed funds for the LLS. Thank you again for all the support!
