Palm Beach County budget cuts could put some kids with nowhere to go back on the street

Many of the children here are from broken homes. Some have been shot. Some have fathers incarcerated. Some have parents who don’t even want them.
But at the Urban Youth Impact Center they feel safe, needed, and loved. And if the Palm Beach County commissioners decide to take some of the center’s funding away, some of these kids would be lost.
“This is a minority population that has very little political clout,” said Bill Hobbs, Urban Youth Impact president and founder. “Most live below the poverty level. We are working with kids that come from high crime, single-parent homes. That’s why I’m blowing the horn for the sake of the kids.”
